Angela Kimble "Owl" Indigenous Art Mug - 18 oz

Connect with the wisdom of the owl through this beautiful 18 oz mug featuring "Owl" by Angela Kimble, a Coast Salish/Nuu-Cha-Nulth artist from Tsawout First Nations in Saanich, BC, and daughter of master carver Doug La Fortune.

About the Artist:

Angela Kimble is Coast Salish/Nuu-Cha-Nulth from Tsawout First Nations in Saanich, BC. Her father is master carver Doug La Fortune and mother Kathleen Horne. Angela grew up in Victoria, BC often helping her father with his work, painting carvings and totems. Growing up surrounded by such art inspired her to create her own designs, a contemporary style of Coast Salish art. Angela prefers to draw free hand and can be found painting on canvases and wood.

About Owls in Indigenous Culture: In Coast Salish and many Indigenous cultures, the owl is associated with wisdom, intuition, and the ability to see what others cannot. Owls are messengers between the physical and spiritual worlds, guardians of sacred knowledge, and symbols of deep insight. The owl's ability to see in the dark represents the gift of seeing truth and understanding hidden meanings.
