Betty Albert "Mother And Moon" Indigenous Art Mug - 18 oz
Connect with the sacred feminine and lunar wisdom with this beautiful 18 oz mug featuring "Mother And Moon" by Betty Albert (Wabimeguil), a Cree artist from Northern Ontario with over 30 years of artistic tradition celebrating Indigenous women and spirituality.
About the Artist:
Betty Albert, also known as Wabimeguil, belongs to the Chapleau Cree First Nation in Northern Ontario. She began her career in 1991 and as a professional artist concentrated her art in representing native women and spirituality. Her artwork has a special connection to the land and culture of the James Bay Cree. Both have served as the backdrop against which she has spent over thirty years evolving and developing her own distinct style of Indigenous artwork.
Cultural Significance: In many Indigenous cultures, the moon is deeply connected to the feminine, to cycles of life, and to the wisdom of grandmothers. The moon guides the tides, marks the passage of time, and reminds us of the natural rhythms of life. "Mother And Moon" honors the sacred relationship between women, motherhood, and the celestial grandmother who watches over us all.
