Micqaela Jones "Sunrise Tales" Indigenous Art Mug - 18 oz

Greet each new day with this inspiring 18 oz mug featuring "Sunrise Tales" by Micqaela Jones, a Western Shoshone artist from Nevada whose work is showcased at prestigious Indigenous art markets across North America including Santa Fe Indian Market and the Eiteljorg Museum.

About the Artist:

Micqaela Jones is a member of the Te-moak Tribe of Western Shoshone in Nevada. She grew up on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation of the Shoshone and Paiute Nations, located 100 miles northeast of Elko, Nevada on the Idaho border. Her youth was filled with rich visual experiences - days spent hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of Nevada's outdoors with her sister and two brothers. It wasn't until later in life, as a young adult, that Micqaela began painting and showing her art at venues including Santa Fe Indian Market, Eiteljorg Museum Indian Art Market, Autry Museum Los Angeles, Cherokee Art Market, and Red Earth Market.

Cultural Significance: Sunrise holds deep spiritual significance in many Indigenous cultures, representing new beginnings, hope, renewal, and the daily gift of life. Each sunrise brings new stories, new possibilities, and the continuation of the sacred cycle. "Sunrise Tales" invites us to honor each new day and the stories it will bring.
