Tracey Metallic is a Mi'gmaq artist born and raised on the shores of the Restigouche River in Listuguj, in the territory of Gespe'gewagi, Quebec. A founding member of Pugwalesg, a Mi'gmaq women's hand drum group, Tracey's painting career began as a therapeutic outlet. When her brush touched the canvas, a bright spark was lit - she connected immediately and has been creating ever since. Her artwork reflects her own journey in life and invites viewers to reflect on theirs.
