Betty Albert "Transformation 11" Indigenous Art Mug - 18 oz
Embrace the journey of transformation with this meaningful 18 oz mug featuring "Transformation 11" by Betty Albert (Wabimeguil), a Cree artist from Northern Ontario with over 30 years of artistic tradition celebrating Indigenous spirituality and personal growth.
About the Artist:
Betty Albert, also known as Wabimeguil, belongs to the Chapleau Cree First Nation in Northern Ontario. She began her career in 1991 and as a professional artist concentrated her art in representing native women and spirituality. Her artwork has a special connection to the land and culture of the James Bay Cree. Both have served as the backdrop against which she has spent over thirty years evolving and developing her own distinct style of Indigenous artwork.
Cultural Significance: Transformation is a central theme in many Indigenous teachings and stories. It represents the ability to change, grow, and evolve - whether through life stages, spiritual awakening, or personal healing. Transformation teaches us that change is natural, necessary, and often leads to greater wisdom and strength.
